Industrialization was particular developed in East London, because the Thames is deeper here, and even big boats could sail up to.
Now no boats at all sail the Thames, the Thames is barred now. London barriers is a part of this travel.
Like the north of London, this area is where the “poor” live.
It has its charm in my opinion.
East London was particularly bombed by the Germans during 1939-45.
